Whether in the climbing garden or on the via ferrata - if you want to get vertical, you will find numerous practice areas in the Bregenzerwald. In Au, the versatile climbing garden in the Schnepfauer Wald is an attraction, with almost 30 routes in different degrees of difficulty.

They float in the air like colourful birds: paragliders love the flying areas in the Bregenzerwald because of the ideal temperatures and updrafts. A favourite place for taking off is found very close to Hotel Hubertus – the Diedamskopf.

In almost all villages in the Bregenzerwald, family-friendly swimming pools invite you to enjoy a day’s bathing in summer. In Au, the Waldbad is located directly on the Bregenzer Ach and is surrounded by tall trees that provide valuable shade.
Fishing
The rivers, streams and lakes that characterise the landscape in the Bregenzerwald are ideal areas for (fly) fishermen. Mainly brown trout, but also rainbow trout and grayling can be found here. Day tickets are available for all areas and cost between 15 and 60 Euro
